Above Sunset.
Above Sunset is a collection of NFT images in the Pop Art style. One could say I’ve been able to channel my inner “Andy Warhol” in this collection, though the work is more related to a process I used with early color xerox machines in the late 1980’s—one in which I’d move the image after each of the several scanning passes those early machines required; The resulting images displayed multiple exposures in various colors creating a pop art/psychedelic vibe. I’ve found a way to create this same effect digitally and this has figured into the main visual themes of this collection. The initial three images , “Roll. Rock. King”, “A Fellow of Infinite Jest”, and “Living At The Whim Of Others Always Seemed Unbearable to Me”, were developed as part of a brand collaboration with Profanity Paraffins, who decided to collaborate with a curated selection of NFT artists to celebrate their brand, in coordination with their placement in the "Oscar Week” 2021 Celebrity Gifting Suite Swag Bag.
